Solo leveling: my expectations and thoughts
Today I wanted to talk about solo levelling and where it has been at as well as where’s judging going from the current chapters alone. The main reason I wanted to do this is that the author of this awesome story, no I mean the guy who illustrates this story got into an accident and I hope he gets well. Right now the story is taking a 4 or some weeks break and I wanted to take this opportunity to speak about what has happened so far and will happen just for the fun of it. I really like solo levelling if you can’t tell from my profile lmao. Everything about it piques my interest and I’m really glad I came across this piece of work with that being said I’ll start with this post.
Okay! I have got to speak about this guy first, and in my opinion, he’s the hottest topic in solo levelling at the moment or at the least. I really like the mystery surrounding this man, to be honest when I thought of sung woo’s father I thought he died or something like that. I didn’t think he would also be involved with hunting, so this was a really big surprise to me. I mean from his strength to how he got into the situation he’s in right now is really interesting in of itself, although judging from his personality I could think of a couple of reasons on why he went inside the gates for so long. The biggest reason I could think of and would make sense would be his wife, I mean come on! From his personality, you can tell that he loves his family a lot. So I would speculate that he went inside the gates to find a cure for her since she has one of the rarest diseases in the series. He went to the other side of the gates but came back empty-handed or to be precise without a cure but He still managed to find out a lot about the gates at least more than the current knowledge of the humans.
Although he has a lot of mystery and hype surrounding him I have always wondered about how his family or his son feels about him at the moment. I mean I have re-read the series a couple of times already and I have never ever seen sung woo mention his dad so he either resents him for leaving them or feels something else for him. Personally speaking, I think that sung woo resents his father and I do think this for a couple of reasons. First of all sung woo was weak and had to struggle because his father left him for an unknown reason I’m assuming, and second, it seems clear that he will take his mother into consideration when he meets his father. Judging from sung woo’s personality he will feel really emotional about him coming back, you may think that sung woo changed because he got stronger but remember he still really feels strongly about his family and I don’t think that will change which is why I think that he will feel emotional when he meets his dad, quite frankly I’m hoping that I’m wrong and I’m also hoping to be surprised when they do meet lmao.
Now, about what he said when he was in America. Personally, I’m hyped as hell for a person that hasn’t seen the novel yet. He talked about a really big disaster and some people say that it’s the ants at Jeju island but I disagree, I don’t think that the ants are that strong when you compare em to someone like sung woo’s dad. He’s a really strong individual and we are clearly told this when he bodied that really strong S rank back in America with ease if I do say so myself. Therefore I have come to the conclusion that he wasn’t talking about the ants when he was in America but something greater that is coming to earth prolly after the Jeju island arc, besides it seemed like he was talking about an individual instead of a bunch of ants to me, but then again I might be wrong about this but I still stand by this opinion until things actually clear up within the story.
Do other races exist...??
I really like how much mystery and openness the castle of demons provided for storytelling alone, the demon tribes and their secrets might be connected to where sung woo are dad came from and I really just like how many possibilities are opening right now. Personally, I think that the demon tribes were forced and kicked out by something greater than anything within the story right now, this could explain a lot of stuff within the story such as why the humans are being attacked and questions like Are there other races other than humans and demons. In my opinion, I think there are at this point, it’s not a far fetch to say that angels and gods exist since demons exist. Also this little arc basically said there are other worlds other then the human world and I hope our main character someday explores them, while we’re on this topic it reminds me of the first 11 chapters for those of y’all who read this story you will remember the stone creepy statue that played the hell out of sung woo and technically gave him his abilities. I would bet that he’s a god, in fact, I’m sure he’s a god. I’m not just saying this because he acted like a god but there was also his power; we have never seen a dungeon boss carry that much power and some of you might say that “oh it’s because he was a red gate” or something like this but like me remind you that not even a red gate boss was close to his abilities. Even though he looked like a devil it’s not wrong of me to say he wasn’t a god and that’s something I’m really curious about in the long term of the story, it’s even possible that others like him exist and I’m almost positive they do exist for someone who hasn’t seen the Novel. There’s a possibility that sung woo’s dad was talking about that devil or something like him and I can’t wait to see.
Now let me talk about the tribes, it’s hard to believe that that’s all of them in the castle of 100th levels. I mean, demons are supposed to be really strong and yet sung woo is busting through them hella fast and that’s why I think that the demons in the castle aren’t all that’s left. They're just too weak, and some of you might say that “it’s just that sung woo is just too op!” But I disagree, you have to keep in mind that because sung woo is one of the strongest if not the strongest at this point he still just human and there other possibly stronger races that can hang with him in terms of strength. Personally, though I’m more interested in the noble demon tribes than any other races mainly because they are different than the other beings that come out of the dungeons and that’s really dam interesting. Think about it, they have a different command then the other races that come out of the dungeons, I would speculate that there two different forces fight against each other. One wants to kill all the humans and the other seems to be protracting them and the reason I say this is because one side of the system gave sung woo an ability and another side is trying murk the humans, which is why I came to the conclusion that there are two different systems.
Even if that’s the case, there’s one thing that bothers being about this. Where do the demons in the castle stand, they are preparing for war and are told to protect the Castle? The question is though who are they trying to fight, the humans or something else. I honestly don’t know because of there several things that point to being humans and other things that point to them not being the target of the demons. The first one is that they know about the humans and there existence even though they're inside the castle of 100th levels and that tells me that it might possibly be the humans but then again there’s the fact that the demons look down on humans and the reason I think this is because of sung woo’s first encounter with a noble demon. The Noble demon didn’t know how strong sung woo was and looked down him by trying to attack and kill him but changed attitude when sung woo proved his strength which tells me that they kinda look on humans and don’t know their strength so it couldn’t possibly be humans that they want to war against but something else and I can’t wait to see how this unfolds.
Jeju island raid
We all know this is the next arc of the series I won’t bother with intros! The first I gotta mention has to be japan smart ass! Japan is really kinda being a smart ass with Korea right now and I have gotta talk about it lmao, Korea is in danger right now because they got an S class gate open on them and that is really a big deal. These S class Dungeons are really strong and can destroy prolly a country in a matter of months if left alone, so japan was like we gonna help y’all deal with this gate and at first, I thought japan was just being nice to Korea for this but Nah. They had an alternative motive, Japan is doing this so they can get a title known as a world-class hunter and that can only be done when you do an S class dungeon and at this moment we the readers understand the importance of an S class dungeon. If a hunter can get a title like that they are extremely difficult and I’m super excited as to how it will play out. Personally, I think that the problem right now is that the dungeon already opened and with the ants learning quickly and I mean at the extreme speed they will at doing city levels damage if Korea doesn’t make a move. There’s also the problem of Korea range of the Hunter Association, Korea has a lot of islands and that is in my point a big weakness has mentioned in the last chapter. with all these islands Korea can’t take care of the ants effectively and fast. Especially when the ants can fly, and as we have seen in the recent chapters the ants are pretty damn strong, even individually. Just one of them can handle a b-A rank and there are a lot of them stationed at Jeju island so it will be hard to take care of them all, even though japan right now came up with a really nice plan I don’t think it will be as easy as the plan implies. Even if we forget about the ants real quick they have the queen to worry about and chances are the queen will be a lot stronger then her foot soldiers, and with all of these factors taken into consideration, I think that Japan is taking the ants too lightly.
Now that I have said that much about the ants themselves here’s why I think that japan will be refused by Korea even though Korea accepted there help the recent chapters, although there’s a chance they won’t take back there a word to japan. The first event that made me think that is sung woo’s dad’s return. If you can’t tell yet, this man is really strong and I might even say that he can take on the ants by himself for the simple fact that he spent so many years inside the gates, it’s not normal for regular hunter to spend so many years in there and still survive so I’m betting he’s the strongest human right now. In opinion, he should be able to do a lot in the upcoming Jeju raid and that will lead to japan being refused by the hunter association of Korea simply judging from the leader of the hunter association. He seems to be a really opened minded individual who shares some similarities with sung woo and I think that alone will make think twice when sung woo’s dad shows up the scene assuming he will of course. Plus there’s the off chance that sung woo’s dad and the leader of the hunter association might know each other because if you remember back in America when sung woo’s dad’s record was being checked it said that he was a well-known hunter before he disappeared into the gates.
To be honest, I might be wrong about most of the things I said for Jeju Island but I believe based on what I have seen from the story they might happen and that alone makes me want to read this story more. O yeah another reason I think that japan might be turned down by Korea is sung woo, I mean come on. After he leaves the castle of the demon tribes possibly next chapter he will no doubt be stronger then most S class hunter of the world, the demon tribes are not to be taken lightly and sung woo has been battling them for a well amount of time and besides he will face the demon king so there’s no doubt that he will get a real reward but to be honest knowing sung woo he will go straight to the hospital and save him, mom, because if you recall the whole reason he went into the castle is because there’s a healing thingy that his mother needs to finally wake up.
Final thoughts
Well, these are my theories/thoughts on the upcoming content of solo levelling and to be honest I’m excited asfff, this series is no doubting getting an anime soon because of how much it’s been blowing up. It’s just a matter when they’ll announce and that’s just what I think. I really like this series and I hope the illustrator recovers and continues this Beautiful piece of work because it’s really worth the read and the only that’s painful about it is that we gotta wait every week for new chapters lmao but I’ll wait as long as it takes if I can see another gratified chapters. I do think that most of the stuff I stated will happen or have a possibility of happening and even if they don’t I like getting surprised so either way, it will be fun to see what happens in the jeju island arc because shi is finna be lit.
